The Barry’s Tea Food Market at the Cork St. Patrick’s Festival
One of Cork’s most loved brands ‘Barry’s Tea’ announced that they will again sponsor this year’s Food Market at the Cork St. Patrick’s Festival. This continues a strong history of partnership between the family friendly three day festival, organised by Cork City Council, and Barry’s Tea.
The Barry’s Tea Food Market will run as part of Cork’s St. Patrick’s Festival which is expected to attract up to 100,000 visitors to the City over the duration of the weekend. The Food Market will take place on Cork’s Grand Parad on 14, 15 and 17 March and will feature a diverse range of Cork’s Artisan food suppliers, offering festival goers a legendary atmosphere to soak in.
Commenting on Barry’s Tea’s renewed sponsorship of Cork’s St. Patrick’s Festival Food Market, Camille O’Flanagan of Barry’s Tea, said, “We are very proud to be title sponsors of the Cork’s St. Patrick’s Festival Food Market again this year. It is encouraging to see a festival that is now in its 9th year continue to prosper. Cork has always been a thriving culinary hub so it is no surprise that the Food Market has become such a successful element to Cork’s St. Patrick’s Festival.”
Camille went onto say: “The partnership has been a resounding success for Barry’s Tea and this year our focus is to be part of a fun filled family event and bring that welcome pause to families as they take part in the weekend’s festivities.”
The Barry’s Tea Food Market will include a refreshing new mix of vendors from bakers and cheese-makers to artisan food producers and fondu-enthusiasts from Cork City and County and this year looks set to be even more delicious than ever before.
The Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr. Catherine Clancy said: “The continued support of Barry’s Tea and our other sponsors is absolutely crucial to enable us to
improve our offering at the Cork St. Patrick’s Festival year-on-year and we are thrilled that they have come on board again this year. The Barry’s Tea Food
Market continues to deliver a rich and exciting blend to visitors to the festival.”
Guests at the Barry’s Tea Food Market will be greeted by wafting scents of hot food stalls on arrival and will be able to discover a myriad of local artisan
foodstuffs while enjoying the musical interludes on the nearby main stage and the colourful street performances which are part of the overall festival
programme.
