The Slieve Aughty Experience
Slieve Aughty Centre is a family run eco-resort with a luxurious 9 bedroom eco-house, certified organic restaurant, special event facilities, and equestrian centre in East County Galway. “The Slieve Aughty Experience” is a great day out for families which includes farm animals to visit, self-guided walks, self-serve arts and crafts, toddler playground, family games, nature hut and the Enchanted Forest. During school holidays there is even more to do with family festivals.
The Enchanted Forest is truly amazing with a gnome village, fairy homes, witches hut, stone ring for fairy ceremonies, and a lovely arched entryway. Each child receives a keepsake map and guide to the Enchanted Forest, fairy dust, wishing tree tag and pencil. Kids ages 5 and up can travel to the fairy forest on one of Slieve Aughty’s quiet safe ponies and ride even further after for a full 35-40 minutes pony ride.
The Slieve Aughty Experience is available daily from 12 to 6, summer and holidays, and weekends November to March. The Three Towers Eco House and Organic Kitchen provides delicious sandwiches, salads, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and their famous pancakes for hungry explorers.
