Tayto Park Rollercoaster – The Cú Chulainn Coaster
Tayto Park is where you will find Ireland’s first rollercoaster and Europe’s largest wooden rollercoaster – The Cú Chulainn Coaster. It is also the only wooden rollercoaster in the world with an inversion (turns riders upside down and then turns them right side up again)
With a strong focus on mythological Irish history, the rollercoaster has been named after one of the great eternal heroes of Irish history, Cú Chulainn.
The Tayto Park Rollercoaster ride takes just over one minute featuring 14 turns going to dizzying heights of 32.05 meters and 31 meter plunges, all at speeds of up to 62 miles per hour.
The rollercoaster is all made of wood, using over 800,000 kgs of yellow pine wood and more than 100 tonnes of steel and collectively over 700,000 nails and bolts in its construction.
Tayto Park stands alone in Ireland when offering all day entertainment and value for families.
