Flip Flop Childrens Theatre Festival
The week before Halloween means the Flip Flop Children’s Theatre Festival, which each year features the delights of childrens theatre from as far away as Ukraine and Denmark, as well as participating in workshops and other events with a particular focus on writing for and by children. Flip Flop will unleash the potential that great children’s theatre can and will enrich the lives of the under 13s and reawaken the imaginings of the over 30s.
At Flip Flop Children’s Theatre Festival there will be workshops in libraries throughout the county, and a writing programme for children by children. Performances are shared between Pavilion and their sister theatre The Mill Theatre, Dundrum. There will also be lots of street theatre!

Caterpillar who eats and eats until he is eventual metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly, take delight in the antics of Little Cloud who transforms into everything it sees and be tickled by the bored Chameleon whose visit to the zoo brings a bit of colour to his life – in more ways than one!

In these tough economic times, when no one can buy a Chanel bag anymore, Yoyo and Gigi have decided to go down in the street and help out the Dubliners by giving free “haute couture” lessons, re-fashioning people with the trendiest of materials: The Irish Times newspaper

- Creatures From Suitcases
Kidding Ensemble present this delightful show. Two mad scientists, one from Chile and one from France, meet in front of the post office of a small Irish town, Ballyslow. They are both here for the same reason: they want to capture Whoosh, an amazing creature that can only be seen tomorrow or yesterday. Along the way they are telling us about all the other extaordinary creatures they know but the real question remains, will they capture Whoosh?
