Anyone 4 Science Kids Summer Camps
Anyone 4 Science run fun hands-on educational activities kids summer camps based on science topics for children between 7 and 12 with an interest in science. Children will use everyday materials, which can be found in most homes, to demonstrate scientific principles. Most days you will take home something you have made so that you can demonstrate it to your family and friends and pass on your new found knowledge of science.
Anyone 4 Science also run a Teenage Summer camps for students from first or second year who are interested in science and thinking about taking part in either Scifest or the Young Scientist competition. This Teenage summer camps will run from 20 June – 14 July at 10.00 – 15.00 at a cost of €160.
They will also run a number of Junior Summer Camps for children aged 5 – 8 which will be held at a number of venues in Dublin.
Anyone 4 Science Summer Camps Activities
- Botany- investigate the conditions required to grow plants from seeds. Learn about flowers. Examine pollen.
- Plastic Recycling – What happens to plastic we send to recycling? Sort plastics by polymer type. Make your own plastic
- Pulleys and Levers – Make a machine to lift an adult. Investigate how pulleys work. Make a draw bridge to take home with you.
- Food Chemistry – Find out how much vinegar you need to neutralise bread soda. Melt Jelly using the minimum amount of energy. Prove there is energy in crisps. Make your own gadget to add Mentos to Coke.
Also in the Anyone 4 Science summer kids science camps you solve puzzles, play quizzes and constructions games. The course content will be adjusted to suit different age groups.
