Cliffs of Moher Experience
The Cliffs of Moher Experience is Ireland’s top natural attraction. The Cliffs are 214m high at the highest point and range for 8 kilometres over the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. O’Brien’s Tower stands proudly on a headland of the majestic Cliffs Moher. Visitors have access to the tower and the viewing platform on the roof, where the Cliff views are most spectacular. From the Cliffs of Moher one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South.
There are lots of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, like the world-class heritage centre with modern, educational fun interactive facilities such as the Cliffs of Moher Experience postcard from around the world, from a children’s play area, binoculars and information cards for bird watching.
The Cliffs Exhibition is the exciting interpretive centre at the Cliffs of Moher Experience. Housed at the centre of the underground building a huge domed cave contains: images, exhibits, displays & experiences that will delight young and old alike. Visitors enter via a viewing ramp which provides access for all to the main dome. The building has been sunken into the contours of the land and is covered by the grass hillside.
The dome is organised into four principal themed areas exploring different elements of the mighty Cliffs of Moher: OCEAN, ROCK, NATURE and MAN.
The first floor of the Visitors Centre houses the Cliffs View Café, providing fabulous views of the Cliffs from the windows looking out of the hillside
