Engineers Week 2016
Engineers Week 2016 a week-long programme of nationwide events celebrating engineering in Ireland.The objective is to create a positive awareness and spark enthusiasm about the engineering profession to people of all ages.
With no restriction on who can organise events, the topics on which they are focused, the audiences or venue, the resulting programme is a hugely varied and eclectic mix suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
Last year was a tremendous success with over 15,500 participants taking part in a range of activities nationwide.
Engineers Week 2015 has over 100 free events taking place nationwide. Events can take place in a range of locations from schools, colleges, local community centres, shopping centres to business premises, sporting clubs and even hospitals!

Who Organises Engineers Week?
Engineers Irelands’ STEPS programme coordinates Engineers Week and is responsible for the national promotion and the development of resource and promotional materials and partner liaison and communication. Event hosts then organise activities on a local level. Host organisations vary from indigenous and multinational engineering industries to universities, IT’s, libraries, CSETS, educational centres and community groups.
