Family Days Out at the Curragh Racecourse
The Curragh Racecourse is Ireland’s premier flat racing venue and a wonderful family day out. With full accessibility, modern, comfortable facilities and unrestricted access throughout the grandstand and enclosure, the Curragh has something for everyone.
There is a wonderful choice of exclusive hospitality and dining experiences for you to enjoy in the world-class surroundings at The Curragh Racecourse. Whether you are a solo visitor or a family group they have something to suit everyone.
The Curragh Racecourse is home to the Classics, Ireland’s five most important flat races. This includes the 1000 and 2000 Guineas, The Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby, the Juddmonte Irish Oaks and the Irish St. Ledger on Irish Champions Weekend.
Racing takes place March to November.
At the Curragh Racecourse, under 18’s always go free when accompanied by an adult. Enjoy the beautiful playground and a variety of free family entertainment in KidsZone, including face painting. There is a wide choice of options for those wishing to dine at The Curragh, including Orby’s Bistro, The Food Court and the Champagne bar. Our beautiful Lilywhites bar on level 2 is also open to the public on race days. On our festival days there will also be a variety of food trucks. There are kid’s menus available at the track in all restaurants at the track.
Transport and Parking: The Curragh Racecourse is situated in the Heart of Racing just 32 miles from Dublin City and en route to Cork, Limerick, Waterford just off Exit 12 off the M7. When you arrive, you’ll find plenty of FREE car parking.
In addition to the above there will be FREE return shuttle buses in operation Newbridge and Kildare Town train stations and towns for all racing fixtures in 2023.
