Flip Flop Schedule of Events 2008
It is with great delight that I welcome you to the second year of Flip Flop, Dún Laoghaoire-Rathdown’s International Children’s Theatre Festival, which this year is a truly county-wide event. DLR’s Arts Strategy has provided more opportunities than ever before for young people in Dún Laoghaoire-Rathdown to engage with the arts as audience members and as makers of their own art. Theatre has a key role in this process – we all remember our first trips to a panto or a puppet show, and, for some of us at least, what a magical and inspiring event it was. Pavilion, DLR’s Municipal Theatre, is continuing to play its part in providing the experiences of today for the citizens of tomorrow. Good luck to them and to the Festival, and have yourselves a really great Flip Flop this October.
