Galway Christmas Market 2023
Now in its 13th year, The Christmas Market Galway will once again fill the city centre with Joy and light and laughter, with over 50 wooden chalets lining the square offering scrumptious seasonal treats and a large variety of crafts. Ireland’s premier Christmas Market will be back in its regular home in Eyre Square from Nov 2023.
The Market will run from Friday November 10th to December 22nd – and as a special post-Christmas gift – a portion of the market, including the View Wheel, the Carousel, the Galway Christmas Beer Tent and some traders will reopen in Eyre square on Dec 26th for the first time!
All of your favourites will be there, Hot Dogs, Crêpes, Gluhwein, and many more…..
Food lovers can feast on a bratwurst, French pastries, pretzels or confectionery, crêpes and waffles, while families and friends can enjoy a walk through the enchanted light gardens providing the backdrop for a Christmas Market photo, stop off at Santa’s postbox, interact with local charities and much more.

Find Santa’s Cabin
Coming from Shop Street, take the main path through Eyre Square and about 50m in, you’ll see it on your right in the information kiosk building opposite Roosters Cafe.

Bier Tent at the Christmas Market
The famous Bier Keller at Galway Christmas Market opens daily serving drinks from 5pm until 10pm. From Monday to Sunday you can enjoy mulled wines, hot toddy’s, cocktails or any of their vast array of great beers.

Thursday to Saturday: 10am until 10pm
