Galway City on Ice 2016/2107 Season
It is with deep regret that, due to circumstances beyond our control, Galway City On Ice will not be able to operate an ice rink in Galway this year.
Galway City On Ice has open for the first time and brings Christmas Ice Skating on a real ice skating rink back to Galway. Visitors can expect to see Leisureland in Rockbarton Road, Salthill transformed into one of Ireland’s premier Christmas attractions with one massive 500m2 ice rink. This magical event is ideal Christmas fun for the whole family.
Galway City On Ice offers a great range of hot drinks and snacks. Situated right beside the ice rink, the Refreshment areas is the ideal spot for those who don’t wish to skate but want to watch the fun outside and if you have been on the ice it’s the perfect place to cool down!!
Ice Skating At Galway City On Ice
The venue hosts Ireland’s largest outdoor covered ice rink and Christmas. The Ice rink will have a certain number of Skate aids who will be available to help you find your feet. Ice Marshals also patrol the ice to help people to their feet. In the event of an accident first-aid facilities are on-site.
There is also ample parking around the facility for Ice Skating Galway.
Family Fun Tip :- Don’t forget to wear thick socks and a pair of gloves! and please ensure that your boots are tight with the laces securly fastened .. Avoid going for a bigger size than you normally wear.

- Galway on Ice is open 7 days per week – excluding Christmas Day & St. Stephens Day
- Monday – Friday:- 15.00 – 16.00 – 17.00 – 18.00 – 19.00 – 20.00
- Weekends and Holidays:-10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 13.00, 14.00, 15.00, 16.00, 17.00, 18.00
Sessions last for 45 minutes and you should arrive at least 20 minutes before your session starts

- Monday – Friday:- 15.10 – 16.20 – 17.30 – 18.40 – 19.50 – 21.00
- Weekends and Holidays:-10.30, 11.40, 12.50, 14.00, 15.10, 16.20, 17.30, 18.40, 19.50, 21.00

- Pre launch only €8 (Online Booking in October and November)
- Adult:- Peak €14.00, Off Peak €12.00
- Child:- Peak €13.00, Off Peak €11.00
- Family of 3 :- Peak €43.00, Off Peak €30.00
- Family of 4 :- Peak €52.00, Off Peak €38.00

Tickets can be purchased at the Venue, during opening hours between 3pm -9pm Monday -Friday. 10:30am – 9:00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Family Fun Tip:- Tickets are sold on a first come first served basis and they cannot guarantee availability. Therefore, we recommend advance bookings to avoid disappointment.
Directions To Galway City On Ice
Galway City On Ice is situated in Leisureland in Rockbarton Road, Salthill, Galway. 1.5km from Galway City Centre and easily accessible through a wide network of road, rail and air transport. Buses leave daily at regular intervals from the City Centre to Salthill. There is also ample parking around the facility.
