Muckross Pet Farm and Stables play area is in an idyllic setting in Muckross in a peaceful private valley surrounded on all sides by Killarney National Park. They have a large variety of animals to see, hold and cuddle including puppies, rabbits, pigs, ponies, emus, ducks and many more. There is a great sand play area with a number of slides, tunnels and swings and climbing framesfor the the kids to play around on.. They also have an indoor sand play area for rainy days. Muckross Pet Farm is the perfect place to relax and have a family picnic as there is a coffee / sweet shop on site and a number of picnic tables including a large enclosed indoor picnic area.
Birthday parties and school tours are catered on the farm. Children and adults alike are sure to have a great day out at this facility and there is lots of parking.
Muckross Pet Farm Features And Facilities
The Pet Farm is set on 10 acres with a wide variety of animals. This includes ponies, sheep, puppies, chickens, pot bellied pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, donkeys, miniature goats, ducks, geese, deer and chickens. Also available are swings, slides and a play area both indoor and outdoor area. In addition pony rides for small children and hourly horse riding can be arranged. There is also a horse riding stables here with the pet farm and all children receive a free pony ride on entry to the pet farm.
Alternatively a pony trek through the National Park forest is available for all ages and horse riding levels. This costs €25 per person per hour and includes entry to the pet farm and play area. Directions To Muckross Pet Farm killarney
They are located 3.3 miles from Killarney and the best way to get there is to take the N71 from Killarney. Approximately 3 miles out you will come to the Muckross Park Hotel with Molly Darcys pub and directly after this you take an immediate left onto Mangerton Rd. The pet farm and stables are just under 0.5 miles up this road on the left .
