New Ross Nollaig Festival

The New Ross Nollaig Festival Christmas event in Wexford promises to ensure that all Rossonians will enjoy an extra special Christmas this year.

The special festival celebrations will include outdoor markets and a national carol singing competition.

The events taking place are: ·

Street Markets
There will be six visiting choirs which will parade through the streets singing carols
There will be evening Carol Services in the town Churches
Santa will be onboard the Dunbrody Famine Ship

The winners of the Primary Schools Paint-a-Plate competition, which is run by the New Ross Tidy Towns group, will be announced in St. Michael’s Theatre on Saturday, December 19 at 14.00

In a new initiative children can enjoy a free screening of ‘A Christmas Carol’ this Saturday and Sunday in the theatre at 12 noon and 15.00.

To complete the festival the Nollaig Committee have organised late night shopping with the town’s traders on Thursday and Friday nights, free parking and a ‘Shop to Win’ loyalty card campaign.
