Outdoor Movies In The Park
Outdoor Movies in the Park is now back by popular demand as part of the summer DLR Events programme.
Outdoor Movies in the Park in the Marlay Park, will be literally bigger than ever before as they will debut the brand new High Definition 646 square foot LED screen.
The new screen has the same area as a good size apartment so the Outdoor Movie experience will be epic!
As usual, the event will present free screenings with no admission charge or ticket required of some of cinema’s classics, recent hits and kids favourites.
Great movies, in high definition widescreen and an excellent sound system will transform the lush grass of Marlay Park into an outdoor cinema for one weekend only.
The backdrop for the giant movie screen will be the magnificent Marlay House and with some sunshine the event will be an unmissable experience.
Film goers can bring picnics and blankets for a great family day out. Popcorn and other treats will be available for purchase throughout the event, dlr COCO Market will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday. Some market vendors will be open until late on Saturday and Sunday.
Movie buffs, friends and families flocked to Outdoor Movies in the Park in 2015 and enjoyed a great mix of movies! The sun even seems to always make a guest appearance!

If you are going to the late showings on both days please do not park in the College Road Car Park.

The College Road Car Park will close at the usual time of 10 pm each night.
Please do not use this car park if you are going to the late movie on Saturday or Sunday. Please use Public Transport to get to Marlay Park.
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has a huge variety of events planned for the county. Among the many events enjoyed by adults and children alike have been Kickstart, Gravitation, The Mad Hatters Tea Party and the hugely popular Teddy Bears Picnic will be back in Blackrock Park . You can also look forward to Outdoor Movies and the Endless Summer over the summer months. DLR Events is an initiative by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.

Miniature Railway (Saturdays in summer):TBC
The Miniature Railway operates on Saturday afternoons (weather permitting) from 2.30pm to 5.00pm from May to September and is operated by The Dublin Society of Model & Experimental Engineers Ltd (DSMEE). The Miniature Railway carries passengers around a track in the centre of the park (behind the bell tower).
