The award winning Riverfest Limerick festival is returning this May Bank Holiday. The 14th edition of this growing festival promises to be the best yet.

Riverfest Summer Festival Limerick
Limerick’s Riverfest kicks off over the May Bank Holiday weekend and will showcase & celebrate all that’s great about Limerick City!
Highlights of the city’s premier summer festival will include Riverfest on the Shannon, the Riverfest BBQ Competition, the Riverfestival village in Arthur’s Quay Park, the Barringtons Hospital Great Limerick Run and a spectacular fireworks display.

Riverfest Fireworks
Sunday 6th May @ 9pm

A highlight of the Riverfest weekend, the spectacular fireworks display will this year take place on Sunday 30th April.
The crowds can watch the skies of Limerick transforming into an explosion of colours from 10.15pm.
Riverfest on the Shannon
Friday 4th May – Monday 7th May

Riverfest on the Shannon will feature action packed water based activities and events such as a sailing regatta, kayaking and performances from watersports stars from Friday to the Monday.

Riverfest BBQ Competition
Ireland’s largest BBQ cook-off is back on Saturday 5th May @ 12pm – 5pm! With some smokin’ hot sizzling fare on offer it promises to be a true feast for the senses!
Teams will be competing for the honour of representing Ireland at the WBBQA European Championships which will take place for the first time in Limerick in October.
Why not pop along to sample some of the sizzling fare on offer, there will be plenty to satisfy hungry tums with samples from the competitiors and lots of food stalls featuring everything from genuine American-style corn dogs to fragrant Thai curries, hot dogs, German ham sausages and delicious freshly baked wood oven bread.
Riverfestival Village
The Riverfestival Village, Friday 4th – Monday 7th May, will be a treat for all the family with food, craft and retail stalls and stunning vintage amusements set against the backdrop of the glistening River Shannon in Arthur’s Quay Park.
Hot Food Traders, Snack and Beverage Traders and Retail Traders will all participate during the busiest and most popular festival weekend in Limerick.
