Dublin Docklands Christmas Festival and Christmas Market
There Is No Event Taking Place This Year (2016)
This year’s The Dockland’s Christmas Festival and Christmas Market will be replaced by the I BELIEVE Christmas Tree and Village, Ireland’s first Winter Food, Drink, Craft and Horticulture Festival.
With a focus on supporting Irish businesses, traders, craftspeople, producers and charities, I BELIEVE™ will run for 28 days in the lead-up to Christmas from Thursday, 26th November until Wednesday, 23rd December at the exceptional setting of Custom House Quarter in Dublin, which includes George’s Dock, The chq Building and its surrounding area.

This year’s The Dockland’s Christmas Festival and Christmas Market will be packed with market stalls offering a wide range of shopping ideas for family and friends from craft jewellery, Christmas decorations, beauty products and glassware – you are sure to find a gift to suit everyone’s tastes. Based on Christmas markets seen in mainland Europe the event has been hugely successful in previous years.
The Docklands Christmas Market will be filled with brightly decorated wooden huts and chalets selling an array of unique Christmas gifts, including beautiful Christmas decorations, hand made arts and crafts, and other unusual stocking fillers.
The Christmas Market is a great place to bring the kids to see Santa, soak up the warmth of the season and treat yourself to deliciously indulgent hot chocolate, beers or traditional mulled wine. Hungry shoppers will appreciate the deliciously indulgent arrays of continental pastries, minced pies and a selection of food stalls cooking up a variety of tempting treats. Enticing gourmet treats and delicacies like cheeses, cakes and other goodies will be on sale, the perfect present for any foodie.
Soak up the festive atmosphere with seasonal music provide by the brass band while you sip on a mulled wine or hot cocoa and munch on mince pies or gourmet treats on sale for a wide variety of food stalls. There is plenty to keep the kids occupied with the return of the beautifully restored showpiece ‘Galloping Horses’ Carousel, other fairground attractions, face painting and not forgetting Santa will be on hand to hear the little ones wishes.
