Colouring and Painting can be a fun and enjoyable activity for parents and children alike. However it can also be a messy one! So before you start painting with your child, here are a few tips from Familyfun that can make it a little easier to have fun and clean up afterwards.
- Don’t forget to cover your work surface before you begin and put on old clothes or painting smocks.
- If your child is quite young consider buying spill-free paint cups which are available in most art shops.
- Keep a tub of warm soapy water handy to dip your child’s hands in if they get a little carried away with their painting. That way you can get the paint off their hands before they have a chance to paint the walls, carpet, etc. This works especially well with finger painting type projects.
